Our client is a leading design-build geotechnical contractor delivering complex ground engineering solutions across the United States. Their work includes excavation support and deep foundation systems such as soil nailing, soldier piles, sheet piling, ground anchors, rock bolts, micropiles, and ground improvement techniques.

Position Overview


We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on geotechnical construction projects. This is a senior-level role responsible for managing jobsite execution, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining production schedules, and delivering high-quality results.

This position requires a hands-on leader who can take ownership of field performance, make timely decisions, and effectively manage crews and subcontractors.


Role Objective


To deliver projects safely, on schedule, and in accordance with design specifications—while maintaining high standards of quality and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities


  • Oversee daily field operations and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety protocols
  • Lead and enforce a strong safety culture across all jobsite activities
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers and senior field leadership
  • Monitor production against project schedules and adjust as needed
  • Ensure all work is completed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards
  • Identify potential issues early and implement solutions to avoid delays
  • Submit accurate and timely daily field reports
  • Manage crews, subcontractors, equipment, and material logistics
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure proper equipment usage and maintenance
  • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Support change order identification and documentation
  • Oversee punch list completion and project closeout activities
  • Maintain organized, safe, and efficient jobsite conditions


Qualifications


  • Experience:10+ years in geotechnical or heavy civil construction (or)
  • 5+ years with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field
  • Required:Valid driver’s license
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Preferred:OSHA 30 Certification
  • Forklift Certification


Work Environment & Physical Requirements


  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, uneven terrain)
  • Capable of lifting and carrying materials up to 100 lbs
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, and physical activity throughout the day
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work extended hours (including weekends if required)
  • Comfortable working in remote or challenging jobsite locations
