Our Client consists of four heavy civil construction companies. Our services include infrastructure improvement, heavy civil construction, and site development for government and state agencies and private enterprise across the United States. We do a wide variety of heavy civil projects, including highways, bridges, and DOT work, power plants, dams and reservoirs, underground utilities, and more.
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
The Mechanic is responsible for conducting maintenance and repairs on Our Client's construction and industrial equipment. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliable operation and optimal performance of the equipment. The Mechanic must possess a strong knowledge of mechanical systems and adhere to Client's safety standards and protocols.

Required Skills
Class B or class A CDL. • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic in the construction or industrial sector. • Knowledge of construction equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and cranes.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Familiarity with diagnostic software and computerized systems is a plus.High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. • Certification or training in mechanical or automotive technology is preferred.
Key Requirements
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on construction and industrial equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities to identify and address potential issues before they cause equipment failure.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system problems.
• Replace faulty parts and components, ensuring proper installation and calibration.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts inventory.
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands and deadlines.
• Handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently.
• Adapt to changing priorities and work under minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
TRAVEL
· As needed to different project sites, but it would be rare prior to completion of the initial project near Campo, CA, which will take roughly 3 years to complete.
