We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of electrical design experience to provide senior-level engineering and design leadership for a growing electrical engineering team.
This role will be responsible for leading and overseeing electrical design and documentation for multifamily housing, commercial, and civic/government projects. The position will also collaborate closely with architects, mechanical and other engineering disciplines, project managers, clients, and internal engineering teams.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, project coordination skills, and the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers and designers.
Job requirements:
10+ years of focused electrical engineering/design experience.
Active Professional Engineer (PE) License.
Strong experience with electrical design and documentation.
Proficiency with Revit.
Experience with multifamily, commercial, and/or civic/government projects.
Ability to analyze design requirements, specifications, and performance requirements and develop appropriate electrical solutions.
Experience coordinating electrical design with other disciplines and project managers.
Experience overseeing or executing electrical project designs.
Experience supporting the construction phase, including submittal reviews and RFI responses.
Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and designers.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Electrical Engineering & Design
Analyze design requirements, specifications, and performance requirements.
Develop electrical designs that meet project requirements, applicable codes, and life-safety considerations.
Execute and oversee electrical designs and documentation.
Coordinate electrical design with other project disciplines and the Project Manager.
Project & Construction Support
Support projects through the construction phase.
Review submittals and respond to RFIs.
Assist with coordination and resolution of project-related technical issues.
Technical Leadership
Mentor and develop engineering staff.
Provide technical guidance to project engineers and designers.
Assist with maintaining and developing electrical engineering standards.
Support quality control of electrical engineering work products.
Additional details:
Competitive salary: $130,000–$160,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
