Position Overview

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems for next-generation manufacturing and automation products. You will play a key role in transforming conceptual designs into fully functional manufacturing products, ensuring they meet reliability, safety, and performance standards.

This position requires extensive experience in the semiconductor and manufacturing industries with a strong background in robotics, automation, and electro-mechanical systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, and production, to ensure seamless integration and high-quality performance of electrical systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Product Development & Design:

    • Translate conceptual design ideas into manufacturable products in the automation and semiconductor industries.
    • Design electro-mechanical subsystems for instrumentation, power distribution, and motion control systems.
    • Develop and document electrical harnesses, cable systems, grounding, and shielding techniques to optimize system performance.
  • Testing & Evaluation:

    • Develop test procedures and protocols to evaluate various electronic circuits for reliability and efficiency.
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of electrical components and subsystems to ensure they meet safety and industry standards (e.g., SEMI, EMC considerations).
    • Troubleshoot and optimize designs for cost, manufacturability, and performance improvements.
  • Collaboration & Technical Support:

    • Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth product launches and identify any potential electronics-related issues.
    • Act as a liaison between production and engineering, ensuring continuous improvements in system design and manufacturing efficiency.
    • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and innovation.
  • Quality & Compliance:

    • Ensure all products meet high reliability and quality standards, minimizing failure rates and improving overall system performance.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in electrical engineering, robotics, and automation.
    • Adhere to relevant industry safety standards and best practices during design and development.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Must-Have Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the semiconductor and manufacturing industries.
  • Strong background in robotics and automation with hands-on experience in motion control systems.

Technical Skills:

  • Circuit Design:

    • Expertise in analog/digital circuits, power circuits, safety circuits, motion control circuits, and data acquisition systems.
    • Experience designing electrical schematics using OrCAD or similar schematic capture software.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical system documentation.
  • Product Development:

    • Ability to design and document electrical harnesses and cable systems for industrial applications.
    • Deep understanding of grounding, shielding techniques, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) design.
    • Knowledge of SEMI standards, safety regulations, and best practices in electrical design for automation.
  • Testing & Analysis:

    • Strong experience in developing and implementing test procedures for electronic circuits and system performance evaluation.
    • Ability to conduct failure analysis and root cause identification for electrical systems.

Educational Requirements
