Role Overview

The Personal Injury Settlement Negotiator will play a critical role in negotiating and resolving personal injury claims to maximize client settlements. This individual will work closely with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance representatives to ensure that clients receive fair and just compensation for their injuries.

This position requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills, legal knowledge, and the ability to communicate with empathy and professionalism.


Key Responsibilities

  • Case Management & Client Service:

    • Review and monitor cases to ensure clients receive outstanding service and case updates.
    • Handle escalated client inquiries, including those requiring attorney communication.
    • Communicate compassionately and effectively with clients, ensuring they feel supported throughout the claims process.
  • Negotiation & Settlement:

    • Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters, defense attorneys, and opposing counsel.
    • Strategize ways to maximize case value and client compensation.
    • Draft settlement demands and counteroffers, ensuring accurate case valuation.
  • Legal Research & Documentation:

    • Conduct legal research and analyze case law as it applies to claims.
    • Draft and summarize legal documents, correspondence, and settlement agreements.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed case records for all negotiations and settlements.
  • Team Collaboration & Support:

    • Work closely with attorneys and the pre-litigation team to ensure smooth case resolution.
    • Assist in drafting legal arguments and strategies to strengthen settlement negotiations.
    • Provide guidance and support to attorneys and staff on complex negotiation strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of significant experience negotiating personal injury claims.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, case management software, and legal research tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to persuade and negotiate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism and dedication.
  • Spanish-speaking skills are a significant plus.
