About the Role
Our client is seeking a full-time Tax Manager for their Westport, MA office. This hybrid position allows for two remote workdays per week and offers a balance between professional growth and flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
- Research tax regulations and stay up to date on changes in tax laws
- Communicate with clients regarding tax and accounting matters, providing expert guidance
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and service
- Respond to inquiries from the IRS, state, and other tax authorities
- Mentor and develop professional staff, providing performance feedback and guidance
- Contribute to the firm's growth through strong client service and team collaboration
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of tax return experience in public accounting
- CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification required
- Experience working directly with clients in tax preparation and review
- Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Experience with QuickBooks and Drake Tax preferred
- Payroll experience is a plus
