About the Role

Our client is seeking a full-time Tax Manager for their Westport, MA office. This hybrid position allows for two remote workdays per week and offers a balance between professional growth and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
  • Research tax regulations and stay up to date on changes in tax laws
  • Communicate with clients regarding tax and accounting matters, providing expert guidance
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and service
  • Respond to inquiries from the IRS, state, and other tax authorities
  • Mentor and develop professional staff, providing performance feedback and guidance
  • Contribute to the firm's growth through strong client service and team collaboration

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of tax return experience in public accounting
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification required
  • Experience working directly with clients in tax preparation and review
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Experience with QuickBooks and Drake Tax preferred
  • Payroll experience is a plus
