We are seeking an Environmental or Civil Engineer to join our collaborative team. The ideal candidate demonstrates our core values of technical excellence, environmental stewardship, and exceptional client service.

In this role, you will support the successful delivery of sediment remediation, habitat restoration, and upland remediation projects across the Pacific Northwest. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary project teams, teaming partners, and contractors.

Primary Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience as an environmental or civil engineer in consulting, environmental construction, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or a related engineering discipline
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, with the ability to obtain a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington State within two years
  • Ability to secure and maintain required certifications such as HAZWOPER, CPR, and/or TWIC
  • Valid driver’s license

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time, permanent position.

  • Compensation:
  • 4–5 years’ experience: $88K–$95K annually, title: Staff Environmental Engineer
  • 6–9 years’ experience: $95K–$110K annually, title: Project Environmental Engineer

  • Work Schedule:
  • Flexible scheduling with core hours from 9 AM – 4 PM, Monday–Friday
  • Hybrid setup: typically 2–3 days onsite per week (depending on proximity to the office)
  • Project work may occasionally exceed standard hours; additional time off provided in recognition
  • Regional travel limited to within 3 hours, with expenses covered

Preferred Experience

Candidates should bring some or all of the following experience:

  • Preparing remedial investigation and feasibility study reports
  • Designing remedial solutions for sediment and/or upland projects
  • Conducting fieldwork, including sampling of soil, soil vapor, sediment, and groundwater
  • Preparing plans, drawings, and performing volume calculations using CADD and Civil3D
  • Navigating Washington State environmental regulatory frameworks
  • Developing or reviewing plans, specifications, and bid packages for remediation projects
  • Providing construction oversight on environmental remediation sites
  • Interfacing with clients and regulatory agencies

Role Responsibilities

You will support project delivery through both office and field assignments.

  • Office tasks: site evaluations, alternatives analyses, preliminary design reviews, and quality control of team work products
  • Field tasks: site investigations, construction oversight, and coordination with contractors and partners
  • Team interaction: frequent communication with project managers, clients, and regulatory representatives to ensure goals are met
  • Professional development: mentorship from senior staff and opportunities to expand technical expertise
