About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our engineering team. This position focuses on projects involving Insulated Metal Panels (IMP) and the design of cold room and clean room facilities within the life sciences sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of building types, with an emphasis on IMP and cold room projects.
  • Develop detailed construction drawings and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Ensure designs comply with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, monitor progress, and verify compliance with specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafters.
  • Review and approve design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Prepare project documentation, reports, and stakeholder presentations.
  • Actively participate in project meetings, contributing to discussions on design approaches, construction methods, and material selection.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • P.E. designation (Professional Engineer license) required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in structural engineering with a focus on building design.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with energy-efficient design principles, particularly for cold storage and refrigeration facilities.
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards related to cold room construction and IMP.
  • Familiarity with sustainable building practices and LEED certification processes.
  • Experience using advanced structural analysis tools such as SAP2000, ETABS, or similar software.
