About the Role

We are growing rapidly and are looking for a full-time Superintendent who is passionate about building safe, high-quality infrastructure. As a key member of our field leadership team, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of bridge and roadway projects, coordinate crews, and ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and according to the highest safety and quality standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a proactive, detail-oriented, and safety-minded professional who can confidently manage multiple stakeholders, solve problems in the field, and keep projects running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise construction crews on heavy civil bridge and roadway projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and promote a culture of safety on the job site.
  • Review, interpret, and communicate project plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure proper execution.
  • Monitor project progress, control costs, and provide accurate budget and job cost reporting.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless workflow and timely completion.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks to maintain high standards of workmanship.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for field operations, addressing challenges and facilitating solutions quickly.
  • Prepare daily reports, maintain documentation, and communicate progress to stakeholders.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent is required.
  • Bridge construction experience is mandatory.
  • Proven track record managing heavy civil bridge and roadway projects, including DOT and City/County work.
  • Strong ability to analyze drawings, specifications, and schedules to anticipate project needs.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Familiarity with cost tracking and job cost reporting systems.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to motivate and mentor crews.
  • Willingness to travel as projects require.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
