Take Charge in the Field – Join Us as an Electrical Foreman!

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Foreman to lead our field operations on commercial, industrial, and government projects. This is a full-time, onsite role based on Long Island, NY, and requires a strong leader with expert knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), the ability to forecast labor and material needs, and a commitment to safety, quality, and project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enforce and uphold company safety policies to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Supervise daily jobsite activities and lead crews in installation and service tasks.
  • Collaborate with superintendents and clients to create and maintain project schedules.
  • Assign tasks and monitor labor hours to ensure projects stay on budget.
  • Manage material procurement across all project phases.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, federal/state codes, and project specifications.
  • Interpret and enforce project plans, drawings, submittals, and contracts.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate as-built drawings and detailed daily reports.
  • Forecast labor requirements and crew size based on project scope.
  • Mentor and support apprentices, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Communicate consistently with customers, general contractors, and management.
  • Ensure crews start and finish shifts on time and take required breaks.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in the electrical trade, including 5+ years supervising field crews.
  • Strong background in residential, commercial, industrial, and government projects.
  • OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and project documentation.
  • Proficient with electrical tools, equipment, and safety practices.
  • Physically able to lift 50 lbs and work in various outdoor conditions.
  • Professional demeanor with a strong commitment to project excellence.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday to Friday, with onsite fieldwork across Empire Electric Maintenance’s service areas.
