POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager who excels in both pre-construction planning and field execution. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, drive progress on-site, and contribute to strategic efforts that promote efficiency, sustainability, and innovation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Pre-Construction
• Create detailed project plans including schedules, resource planning, and procurement strategies
• Oversee competitive bidding and support bid evaluation and award decisions
• Identify, assess, and select contractors and subcontractors based on capability, experience, and cost quality
• Maintain project documentation including contracts, permits, drawings, and change orders
• Track design and scope changes and ensure timely communication to all relevant stakeholders
• Collaborate with Estimators and Project Engineers to complete project buy-out and assemble the final Construction Package
Construction Management
• Ensure oversight and accountability for scope, budget, and schedule with reporting to the VP of Construction
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors while ensuring compliance with project standards and specifications
• Maintain responsibility for quality assurance and completion of all Quality Control inspections
• Lead and manage Built Green and Earth Advantage certification processes
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and direction to Site Superintendents
• Maintain excellent client and Owner’s Representative relationships throughout the project lifecycle
• Foster a culture of leadership, teamwork, and strong communication among Superintendents, site teams, subcontractors and clients
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, site cleanliness, and overall site management expectations
• Support development of claims for additional compensation when required and ensure clear communication throughout
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
• Stay informed on emerging construction technologies, trends, and sustainable building practices
• Identify opportunities to optimize efficiency and introduce improved workflows or methods
• Participate in workshops, training programs, and educational events to expand technical expertise
WHAT YOU BRING
• 10+ years experience managing new construction projects, including single and/or multi-family developments
• Academic background in Construction Management, Engineering, or Manufacturing highly preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project with ability to read, interpret, and build construction schedules
• Experience with cloud-based construction management platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud
• Skilled in digital collaboration tools including Microsoft Teams
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and the broader Microsoft Office suite
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building systems, and engineering concepts
• Ability to analyze and communicate complex project data clearly and effectively
• Willingness to learn new technologies, sustainable approaches, and digital tools
• Solid understanding of residential health and safety standards
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• 10+ years experience required
POSITION & HOURS
• Full-time, exempt, approximately 40 hours per week Monday through Friday
• Flexibility required for occasional after-hours work for project deadlines or events
• Hybrid work format with time split between home office, job sites and the Seattle SODO office depending on project needs
• Regular travel expected to sites, jurisdictional offices, meetings, events, and training sessions
• Role requires physical activity including repetitive movement, extended standing or sitting, bending, kneeling and moving materials up to 30 lbs
• Work environments may include outdoor sites in varying weather conditions and indoor shop environments with fluctuating temperature and noise levels
