Our Client is a structural steel fabricator located in Granite City IL. We produce structural steel of all forms. We are seeking dedicated fitters and welders to join our TEAM and help take our company to the next level! We are interested in skilled professionals who can produce efficiently, meet required deadlines, and take extreme pride in their work!

Responsibilities
FITTERS
· Accurately Layout & Fit-up of steel per shop drawings
· Properly setup welding machine/wire feeder for welding - and adjust settings as required during welding/Fitting.
· Verify and ensure fit-up complies with plans and codes, AWS D1.1, D1.5, D1.8
· Ability to read and properly interpret shop drawings
· Perform clean Tack welds with no inclusions, undercut, porosity
· Cleaning of all slag/splatter from welds and surrounding area
· Ensure equipment used is properly maintained/stored during/after use
WELDERS
Must have prior background using Fluxcore. 1/16th with C02
Must be able to produce clean sound welds with minimal cleanup in a timely fashion
Must be able to work well with others
Requirements
· At least 1 year of experience welding. Will train the right candidates.
· Candidates should be able to work on his or her own and be a self starter
· Candidates should be safety oriented
· Candidates must pass in house weld test
· Must be authorized to work in the USA
