About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our Job Order Contract (JOC) Division in Tucson, AZ. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in JOC projects and a desire to work on a variety of community-impacting initiatives such as flood control, paving, riprap, walk paths, and wash cleanouts. Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing Job Order Contract (JOC) projects
  • Broad knowledge of infrastructure work including flood control, paving, riprap, walk paths, and wash cleanouts
  • Demonstrated career stability in previous roles
  • Experience with asphalt work is a plus


What You’ll Be Doing:


Project Estimator Responsibilities:

  • Provide innovative, creative approaches to building projects
  • Conduct risk analyses and submit accurate cost estimates
  • Fully understand project plans, specifications, and scope
  • Mentor and supervise Project Engineers/Assistant Estimators in:
  • RFPs to subcontractors and vendors
  • Quantity take-offs
  • Reviewing subcontractor/vendor quotes
  • Preparing and attending project hand-off meetings


Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full project lifecycle and support all stakeholders (internal team, subcontractors, owners)
  • Attend project meetings and manage communication
  • Monitor safety, quality, productivity, and schedules
  • Track job costs and prepare monthly forecasts
  • Manage pay applications and resolve project issues
  • Mentor and support Project Engineers in:
  • Reviewing subcontractor pay applications
  • Preparing and submitting change orders
  • Managing RFIs
  • Completing project closeout documentation

Project Scope May Include:

  • Infrastructure: Highways, bridges, roadways, utilities, concrete, earthwork, and paving
  • Utilities: Water and wastewater treatment facilities, booster and reservoir projects
  • JOC Projects: Fast-paced, multi-scope contracts with government or institutional clients
  • Development: Site development and related infrastructure work


Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move around active construction sites
  • Work in both office and field environments, often outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Exposure to dust, noise, machinery, and uneven terrain
  • Occasional extended hours may be required to meet deadlines
