Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Litigator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of independently managing complex federal court litigation, with a preference for those who have represented and billed their own clients through trial. This role demands expertise in litigation strategies, in-depth legal analysis, and the ability to handle intricate discovery processes, including disputes involving electronically stored information (ESI).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Litigation Management: Independently oversee and manage complex federal court litigation projects from inception through resolution, including trials.
  • Law and Motion Practice: Draft, file, and argue motions in federal court, demonstrating superior analytical and persuasive legal writing skills.
  • Document Review and Legal Analysis: Conduct detailed reviews of case documents and perform technical analysis of the law as it applies to business fraud cases.
  • Discovery and ESI Management: Initiate, lead, and resolve discovery disputes, with a strong focus on matters involving electronically stored information.
  • Client Representation: Provide high-quality legal representation to clients, including those involved in business fraud and other commercial disputes.
  • Strategic Advice: Offer insightful legal advice and strategies tailored to clients’ needs and case specifics.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other attorneys and support staff to ensure comprehensive case preparation and execution.


Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in good standing, with the ability to practice in federal court.
  • Minimum of [5 years] of experience in business litigation, with a focus on federal court cases.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex litigation and trials.
  • Expertise in discovery processes, including handling ESI-related disputes.
  • Strong skills in legal research, writing, and oral advocacy.
  • Proven experience working with and billing clients, preferably as lead counsel.
  • Knowledge of business fraud litigation is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
