Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Pittsburgh office. This position is ideal for someone with 2–6 years of accounting experience who is looking to further their career in forensic accounting. Candidates should have a strong technical background in accounting/finance, excellent communication and analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze and reconcile claim data to final calculations.
Participate in strategic planning sessions with the accounting team.
Examine sales, production, and other accounting data.
Assist clients with conducting interviews during financial investigations to identify all involved parties.
Perform forensic research to trace funds and locate assets for recovery.
Prepare preliminary drafts of report narratives and schedules.
Evaluate insurance claims and economic damages.
Collaborate with senior staff on litigation cases, first-party property assessments, and business valuations.
Represent the firm at local industry functions alongside senior leaders.
Ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
2–6 years of accounting experience.
CPA certification or actively pursuing the designation.
Multilingual abilities are a plus.
A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
Proven ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Professional demeanor with a positive attitude.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
