Work Environment: Hybrid – 4 days in-office (Monday-Thursday), 1 day work-from-home (Friday). Flexibility is offered for unexpected situations or appointments, but the role is primarily office-based to support hands-on training and development.

With forensic accounting professionals in over 40 offices across 5 continents, our client has the global resources to assist with forensic accounting needs. They support insurance companies, independent adjustment firms, attorneys, multinational corporations, government entities, and individuals in calculating the true economic impact of claims or disputes. Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Pittsburgh office. This position is ideal for someone with 2–6 years of accounting experience who is looking to further their career in forensic accounting. Candidates should have a strong technical background in accounting/finance, excellent communication and analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and reconcile claim data to final calculations.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions with the accounting team.
  • Examine sales, production, and other accounting data.
  • Assist clients with conducting interviews during financial investigations to identify all involved parties.
  • Perform forensic research to trace funds and locate assets for recovery.
  • Prepare preliminary drafts of report narratives and schedules.
  • Evaluate insurance claims and economic damages.
  • Collaborate with senior staff on litigation cases, first-party property assessments, and business valuations.
  • Represent the firm at local industry functions alongside senior leaders.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
  • 2–6 years of accounting experience.
  • CPA certification or actively pursuing the designation.
  • Multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor with a positive attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
