Overview:

We are seeking a Managing Attorney of Litigation to oversee the operations of our growing practice. As head of our litigation department, you will be responsible for managing a team of 35 attorneys and ensuring smooth and efficient operation of our offices. Our law practice specializes in personal injury cases with a multi-office, multi-state footprint.


Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:
  • Develop a system to implement efficient monitoring, tracking, and execution of litigation strategies
  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to a team of 35 attorneys, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our offices, ensuring efficient workflow, productivity, and adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support professional development opportunities for attorneys.
  • Coordinate with other practice areas and departments to ensure seamless integration and collaboration.
  • Guide and mentor paralegal manager and paralegals to ensure the successful execution of their objectives.


Litigation Strategy and Oversight:

  • Develop and implement effective litigation strategies for personal injury cases, ensuring the best possible outcome for clients.
  • Review and analyze legal documents, pleadings, and motions prepared by attorneys, ensuring accuracy, compliance and quality of work.
  • Conduct legal research, stay up to date with relevant laws and regulations, and ensure compliance with ethical standards.


Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns or issues and providing regular updates on case progress.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to develop effective, client-centered litigation strategies.


Firm Development and Growth:

  • Collaborate with firm partners and senior management to develop and execute strategies for business development and growth.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency, and innovation within the litigation department.
  • Participate in marketing and networking initiatives to enhance the firm’s reputation and expand its client base.


Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and admitted to practice law in a state we operate in NJ, NY, CT, PA, MA, or FL. (NJ or NY Preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years of litigation experience, preferable in personal injury law.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading teams of attorneys.
  • Excellent knowledge of personal injury laws, regulations, and legal procedures.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Exceptional organization and time management abilities, with the capability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • High technology and reporting proficiency.
