We are seeking an experienced Architect or Structural Engineer with a Wisconsin stamp to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing commercial building projects from concept to completion, serving as the supervising professional. This role requires hands-on leadership in the office and at job sites, working on a variety of project types, including metal buildings, office spaces, medical facilities, storage units, industrial buildings, schools, and churches.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee commercial building projects ranging from $50,000 to $10 million in scope.
Develop building drawings from the initial concept through to final completion.
Serve as the supervising professional, ensuring compliance with industry standards and Wisconsin regulations.
Collaborate with designers and draftsmen to deliver high-quality, accurate plans and drawings.
Conduct regular site visits to oversee project progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to non-licensed team members.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Holds a current Wisconsin Architectural or Structural Engineering license (required).
Hands-on experience with commercial building design and construction.
Comfortable working in an office setting with regular visits to job sites.
Experience with a variety of commercial project types, including metal buildings, industrial, office, and more.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Background working for a construction company or a large design firm seeking closer involvement in the construction process.
