Role Description
Our client is seeking a full-time Tax Manager for their Westport, MA office. This is a hybrid role with 2 days a week working from home. The Tax Manager will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as:
Preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
Researching tax questions and staying current on regulatory changes
Communicating with clients regarding their accounting and tax needs
Developing, building, and maintaining strong client relationships
Responding to inquiries from the IRS, state, and other tax authorities
Assisting in developing, mentoring, and motivating professional staff and assessing performance for engagement and year-end reviews
Supporting the growth of the firm
Requirements
5+ years of tax return experience in public accounting
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
Previous experience working directly with clients and preparing/reviewing tax returns
Positive attitude with the ability to work as a team member
Experience with QuickBooks and Drake Tax preferred
Payroll experience preferred
